The 4th State Conference Delegates Meet of Telangana Praja Natya Mandali was held grandly at Bashir Desoddaraka Bhavan in Hyderabad.
M. Kodandaram, TJS President and MLC, attended as the chief guest and emphasized that artists must shape their cultural perspective in a way that awakens and enlightens society. He stated that movements gain momentum only when the depth of issues is understood, eventually leading to solutions. He recalled how the song written by poet Guda Anjaiah, “Dora Endiro… Dora Peekudendiro”, became a powerful force that once inspired workers and laborers.
The conference was inaugurated by E. T. Narasimha, CPI State Assistant Secretary. Speaking on the occasion, he expressed concern over rising religious intolerance and urged artists to remain vigilant. He called upon cultural activists to spread awareness through songs and social media platforms, encouraging them to work with greater dedication than ever before.
Speakers highlighted that literature and art should promote secular values and counter communal hatred. They also stressed the responsibility of protecting people’s rights and urged young artists to draw inspiration from the history and sacrifices of past cultural activists.
Several leaders and artists from various organizations participated in the event, making it a significant gathering of cultural activists in Telangana.
