CityLightbuzz: One of the most significant initiatives of the year was the District’s active participation in the global “Orange the World” campaign, where Inner Wheel members united to advocate for gender equality and create awareness on the safety and well-being of women and girls.
Recognizing the importance of preventive healthcare, District 315 also undertook an ambitious HPV Vaccination Programme, successfully administering 3,951 vaccines, with a further 1,200 vaccinations completed recently. This landmark initiative represents a significant contribution towards safeguarding the health and future of young girls.
The District’s commitment to empowerment and education was reflected through several transformative projects, including:
* Establishment of Robotic Laboratories in government and rural schools, equipping students with future-ready skills and fostering innovation.
* Creation of Vocational Training Centres at Bharosa Centres, in partnership with the Police Department and UNDP, empowering abandoned and abused women and girls with livelihood opportunities and renewed confidence.
* Installation of Sanitary Pad Dispensers and Incinerators in police stations, police academies, schools, and colleges, promoting menstrual hygiene and dignity for women and girls.
* Launch of Mobile Skill Development Centres, equipped with laptops, tailoring units, and sewing machines, providing certified training in computer literacy and vocational skills to women in remote and underserved communities.

The District has also extended unwavering support to differently-abled children, special schools, orphanages, the elderly, and the destitute. Through rehabilitation initiatives, livelihood programmes, cloud kitchens, skill development projects, and financial assistance, countless individuals have been empowered to live with greater dignity, independence, and hope.
As aptly observed by the Chief Guest, Sarita Lunani, IIW Vice President 2026–27, “True leadership shines through empathy, purpose, and selfless service.” These words perfectly encapsulate the spirit of the women of District 315, whose leadership is defined not merely by accomplishment, but by their ability to inspire and uplift others.
The true measure of Inner Wheel’s success lies not in numbers alone, but in the smiles restored, the lives transformed, and the hope rekindled. Every project undertaken and every hand extended in service has left an indelible imprint on society, reaffirming that even the smallest act of kindness has the power to create lasting change.
As we celebrate the achievements of this remarkable year, we also look ahead with renewed purpose. Inner Wheel District 315 remains committed to innovation, inclusivity, friendship, and service. The bonds forged, the lessons learned, and the lives touched will continue to inspire us as we strive towards an even brighter future.
