At Telangana Bhavan, former MLC Karne Prabhakar and former MLAs Bollam Mallaiah Yadav, Chirumarthi Lingaiah, along with other BRS leaders, criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy over his Nalgonda public meeting remarks. Karne Prabhakar alleged that the Nalgonda meeting turned into a political attack instead of focusing on development issues. He questioned the government’s claims on road projects, irrigation works, and state finances.
He said that the Congress government should explain the progress of major irrigation projects like SLBC, and questioned whether any major works were completed in the last two-and-a-half years. BRS leaders claimed that several development works in Nalgonda district were initiated during the previous KCR-led government and accused the present government of ignoring ongoing projects. The leaders also criticised the Chief Minister’s remarks on opposition leaders and said that political debates should focus on development and public issues.They demanded accountability from the government and said BRS would continue raising people’s concerns.
