During the meeting, Rakesh Swamy presented a report to the Chief Minister on the expansion of oil palm cultivation being undertaken by Godrej Agrovet. The discussions focused on several key issues, particularly in view of the upcoming launch of Telangana’s first private integrated oil palm complex. The project, being established in Khammam district with an investment of ₹300 crore, is expected to generate employment for more than 700 people. The Telangana Government has already allotted 113.5 acres of land to Godrej Agrovet at Gubbagurthi village, Konijerla mandal, Khammam district, for setting up an oil palm processing unit, nursery, research & development (R&D) centre, and seed garden. The company also requested the government to allocate an additional 35–40 acres of land for the development of the seed garden. Representatives of the company further requested the Chief Minister to widen the approach road leading to the processing mill to facilitate better connectivity. Responding positively, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy directed the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) to undertake the road widening work.
