CityLightBuzz : Former State Corporation Vice Chairman Dr. Kethireddy Vasudeva Reddy met unemployed youth from Ashok Nagar and Dilsukhnagar and appealed to them to participate in large numbers in the Yuva Sangrama Sabha scheduled to be held on July 18. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Vasudeva Reddy alleged that the Congress government had failed to fulfill the promises it made to unemployed youth before the Assembly elections. He said the party had made unrealistic assurances, including providing 2 lakh government jobs within one year, and had misled job aspirants through campaigns and bus yatras. He criticized the Congress government, alleging that while Congress leaders and their families secured positions, unemployed youth across the state were still waiting for employment opportunities. He also alleged that the government merely distributed appointment letters for recruitment notifications that had already been issued during the previous BRS government’s tenure and claimed credit for them. Referring to promises made during the election campaign, he said Congress leaders had assured unemployed youth of ₹4,000 monthly financial assistance and 2 lakh jobs within a year, but failed to implement those commitments after coming to power.

Dr. Vasudeva Reddy also criticized the Chief Minister over his alleged remarks on unemployed youth and urged job seekers to oppose what he described as the government’s “arrogant attitude” towards them. He called upon unemployed youth from across Telangana to participate in thousands at the Yuva Sangrama Sabha to be held at Saroornagar on July 18 and raise their voice for employment and fulfillment of election promises.
