State Cabinet meeting held at the Velagapudi Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Key decisions were taken focusing on savings measures, massive investments, and public welfare following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call.

The State Cabinet discussed and approved more than 40 agenda items during the meeting held at the Secretariat. Major highlights include:

  • Savings Measures:
    Following the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Cabinet discussed fuel conservation and expenditure control measures in the state. As part of this:
    • A weekly “No Vehicle Day” will be observed.
    • Ministers were advised to reduce the number of vehicles in their convoys by 50%.
  • Work From Home (WFH):
    The government positively discussed providing “Work From Home” facilities for state government employees for two days a week.
  • Massive Investments:
    The Cabinet approved 25 projects worth ₹2,01,023 crore cleared by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB).

Major Approved Projects:

  • Visakhapatnam:
    Reliance Data Center project worth ₹1 lakh crore.
  • Sri Sathya Sai District:
    Solar Power Plant project worth ₹51,000 crore.
  • Kadapa:
    Adani Hydro Energy Project worth ₹12,000 crore.
  • Tirupati:
    Royal Enfield manufacturing unit worth ₹2,500 crore.
  • Environment & Energy:
    The Chief Minister advised ministers to encourage the use of Electric Vehicles (EVs) and reduce foreign tours to promote environmental protection and energy conservation.
