CityLightBuzz: Leaders Praise Murali Mohan’s Contributions to Cinema, Real Estate, Public Life and Social Service
The National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) felicitated veteran actor, producer and former public representative Padma Shri Murali Mohan in recognition of his distinguished contribution to the fields of cinema, real estate, public life and social service.
The felicitation programme was attended by Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar as the chief guest. Several prominent representatives from the real estate industry and public life participated in the event and congratulated Murali Mohan on receiving the prestigious Padma Shri award from the Government of India.
NAREDCO President Sridhar Reddy Koppula Praises Murali Mohan
Speaking on the occasion, NAREDCO President Sridhar Reddy Koppula recalled Murali Mohan’s contribution to the development of the real estate sector and the association.
He said Murali Mohan had played a key role in establishing the Andhra Pradesh Real Estate Developers’ Associations and transforming it into a disciplined organisation. He recalled joining NAREDCO in 2006 and taking up various responsibilities in the association from 2009 onwards.
Sridhar Reddy said that the guidance and direction provided by Murali Mohan continue to inspire the association even today. He noted that the organisation regularly conducts meetings and has built a strong reputation for builders at the national level.
He said that even during the COVID-19 period, the association continued its activities and meetings, following the organisational approach and discipline encouraged by Murali Mohan.
“Felicitating Murali Mohan on receiving the Padma Shri is a moment of great happiness for all of us,” he said.
MLC Bhanu Prasad Highlights Builders’ Role in Telangana’s Economy
MLC Bhanu Prasad said that the real estate and construction sector plays a crucial role in Telangana’s economic growth.
He observed that builders and developers are making a significant contribution to the state’s economy and described the sector as an important pillar of development.
Praising Murali Mohan, he said the real estate organisations established by him have continued to grow successfully. He also appreciated Murali Mohan’s discipline, commitment and dedication, saying that his approach to work should serve as an example for others.
DS Rao Praises Murali Mohan’s Social Service
Prominent builder D.S. Rao said that Murali Mohan’s Padma Shri recognition should not be viewed only in the context of his contribution to cinema.
He highlighted Murali Mohan’s work in art and social service, particularly his support to students and people in need.
D.S. Rao recalled an emotional letter written by a student who had received support from Murali Mohan and said the letter deeply moved him. He expressed happiness at being part of the felicitation programme.
Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar Applauds Murali Mohan’s Journey
Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar expressed happiness at participating in the felicitation programme.
He noted that NAREDCO, established in 1995, has grown into a significant organisation with around 350 builders, contributing to the development of the construction and real estate sector in cooperation with the government.
He appreciated NAREDCO’s annual property exhibitions and its various social initiatives, stating that the organisation has demonstrated that business growth and social responsibility can go hand in hand.
Praising Murali Mohan, the Speaker said he had achieved success in cinema, politics and business through hard work, discipline and determination.
He described Murali Mohan as an inspiration for anyone who aspires to succeed in life and praised his commitment and positive approach.
Gaddam Prasad Kumar said it was a matter of pride that a person born in Telugu land had received one of the country’s prestigious civilian honours, the Padma Shri.
Murali Mohan Recalls NAREDCO’s Beginnings
Speaking after receiving the felicitation, Padma Shri Murali Mohan said that although he had received several felicitations following the announcement of the Padma Shri, the NAREDCO event was particularly special because he considered the members of the organisation as his family.
Murali Mohan recalled that he entered the real estate sector following advice from veteran actor Sobhan Babu. He also acknowledged the support provided by his younger brother Kishore throughout his journey.
He recalled that the real estate sector faced several challenges and lacked proper organisation during the early days. According to Murali Mohan, instances of the same land being sold multiple times highlighted the need for a professional and disciplined organisation.
He said NAREDCO was established with the objective of bringing greater discipline and transparency to the sector and with the belief that customers should be treated like God.
Murali Mohan expressed happiness that the organisation continues to follow those principles and encouraged its members to grow further while maintaining the same values.
Hyderabad and Amaravati Can Become Major Growth Centres
Murali Mohan expressed confidence that Hyderabad could emerge as the No. 1 city in the country in the coming years.
He also expressed his wish for Amaravati, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, to develop rapidly and emerge as a strong and competitive city.
The event concluded with leaders and representatives congratulating Murali Mohan for his Padma Shri honour and appreciating his decades-long contribution to cinema, business, public life and social service.
