CityLightBuzz: Chief Minister Directs Officials to Ensure World-Class Facilities and Smooth Conduct of the Games
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy conducted a review meeting on the preparations and arrangements for hosting the Khelo India Youth Games 2026 at the MCR HRD Institute, Hyderabad.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of preparations with senior officials and discussed various measures required to ensure the successful and efficient conduct of the prestigious national-level sporting event.
Focus on Athletes’ Facilities. CM Revanth Reddy emphasised the need to provide better facilities and a comfortable environment for participating athletes. Officials were directed to focus on infrastructure, accommodation, transportation, sports venues and other essential arrangements to ensure that athletes can participate in the competitions without difficulties.
The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of maintaining high standards at all venues and ensuring that the required facilities are made available well in advance of the Games. Smooth and Efficient Management
The review meeting also focused on strengthening coordination among various government departments and agencies involved in organising the event.
The Chief Minister discussed measures for efficient event management, venue preparedness, logistics, security, transportation and other arrangements necessary for conducting the Games smoothly.

The hosting of the Khelo India Youth Games is expected to provide a major platform for young athletes and further promote Telangana as an important destination for sporting events. The Games will also provide an opportunity for emerging sportspersons to showcase their talent at a national level and gain valuable competitive experience.
