As part of the BRS ‘Samarabheri’ programme, launched following the call given by BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR), party leaders and activists are organising a series of programmes across Telangana to protest what they describe as the Congress government’s failure to fulfil its election promises.
In Rajupet, BRS Mulugu District President Laxman Babu and Mulugu constituency in-charge Bade Nagajyothi will lead a programme to submit a memorandum at the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar statue, demanding the immediate implementation of the promises made by the Congress government.
Programme Schedule
The programme will begin at 9:00 AM at Kamalapuram, followed by the submission of a memorandum at the Ambedkar statue in Rajupet at 10:00 AM.
According to the BRS leaders, the Congress came to power in Telangana promising six major guarantees — Mahalakshmi, Rythu Bharosa, Gruha Jyothi, Indiramma Indlu, Yuva Vikasam and Cheyutha — along with numerous promises included in its election manifesto.
The BRS alleges that despite more than 1,000 days of the Congress government, several of these commitments have not been fully implemented.
BRS Calls for Mass Participation
The party has urged its cadre and local residents to participate in large numbers and take part in a massive rally.
BRS leaders alleged that the Congress government had failed to address the concerns of unemployed youth, farmers and women and called upon party workers and the public to raise slogans against the government during the protest.
The programme is expected to witness the participation of BRS leaders, party workers, former village presidents, former public representatives and supporters from various villages across Mangapet Mandal.
The programme is being coordinated with the participation of senior BRS leaders, including Badisha Nagaramesh, former BRS Mulugu District Youth General Secretary, and Yadlapalli Narasimha Rao, senior BRS district leader.
The BRS leaders said the protest would continue to press the government to fulfil its electoral commitments and address the concerns of the people.
