  • The Cabinet approved the Next-Gen Life Sciences Policy 2026–30 with the ambition of establishing #Telangana as one of the top 5 life sciences hubs in the world by 2030. The Chief Minister formally announced this policy during his trip to Davos.

  • The policy is designed with the target of creating 5 lakh jobs and attracting $25 billion in investments over the next five years. It has been formulated to transform the state into a destination for massive investments in the Life Sciences, Pharma, Biotech, and Medical Innovation sectors.

  • The Cabinet envisioned creating excellent opportunities for the youth in research, manufacturing, digital health, and global innovation. While the focus has mostly been on the manufacturing sector until now, the policy aims to bring a shift by recognizing Innovation and Research & Development (R&D) units as industries as well.
