At the Mahanadu event, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stated that conferring the Bharat Ratna on Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) is the aspiration of all Telugu people. He emphasized that NTR will remain forever in the hearts of the Telugu community.
A unanimous resolution was passed at Mahanadu demanding that the Bharat Ratna be awarded to NTR. Speaking on the occasion of NTR’s birth anniversary, the Chief Minister said that NTR was a महान leader who brought significant changes to Indian politics and stood as a symbol of self-respect for Telugu people.
He highlighted that NTR prioritized the welfare of common people and earned an unforgettable place in public memory. His contributions to Indian political history are unique and unparalleled.
NTR’s Legacy:
Chandrababu Naidu stated that as long as the Telugu community exists, NTR will remain in their hearts. Starting his career as a common employee, NTR rose to become a legendary film actor and later the Chief Minister.
He said NTR’s discipline and stature are unmatched and can never be replicated. From portraying divine roles like Lord Rama and Krishna in films to founding the Telugu Desam Party and becoming Chief Minister within just nine months, NTR created history. His regional party also played a key role in national politics and government formations at the Centre.
Welfare & Vision:
NTR’s governance supported farmers, empowered women, protected workers, and guided youth. His slogan “Society is the temple, people are God” became a lasting principle.
The Chief Minister also spoke about future initiatives, stating that the proposal made by Nara Lokesh for 33% reservation for women should be implemented, and the Centre should be urged again to ensure women’s reservation in legislatures.
