The first look poster of “Sarkaru Baayi” was grandly launched at Hyderabad Film Chamber by renowned producer-director Thammareddy Bharadwaja and noted director V. N. Aditya.
Set against the social backdrop of Telangana, the film highlights pressing issues like water scarcity, caste discrimination, and the struggles of marginalized communities. Starring Sriram Nimmala and Varshika in lead roles, the film is directed by Lara and produced by Tummala Praful Ram Reddy. The story is inspired by real incidents from the 1980s in Telangana.
Speaking at the event, Thammareddy Bharadwaja emphasized that water scarcity remains a critical issue even today and appreciated the team for choosing such a meaningful subject. V.N. Aditya praised the strong content-driven narrative and expressed confidence in the film’s success.
Hero Sriram Nimmala shared his passion for socially driven stories, while actress Varshika expressed confidence that the film has the potential to win national recognition. Director Lara stated that the film brings to light a forgotten emotional chapter of history, focusing on injustice faced by oppressed communities denied access to water.
Producer Praful Ram Reddy expressed confidence that the film will not only deliver a strong social message but also achieve commercial success.
