Addressing a training programme for accountants of the Telangana Special Police Battalions, C.V. Anand directed officials to ensure the timely release of funds for police station maintenance and welfare initiatives. He instructed accountants to carefully scrutinise every bill and maintain accurate digital records instead of simply forwarding files. The DGP warned that officials found responsible for financial irregularities would face legal proceedings and departmental action, including suspension or dismissal. He also emphasised transparent management of police welfare funds, health protection schemes, loans and other welfare programmes benefiting police personnel and their families.
