Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu attended the Swarna Andhra–Swachh Andhra program in Narasannapeta and addressed the gathering.
The Chief Minister stated that the initiative aims to make the entire state clean and is very close to his heart. Starting today, a special Swachh Patham drive has been launched across the state to ensure roads are kept clean.
He emphasized that pensions are being distributed to eligible beneficiaries on the 1st of every month without fail. The coalition government is closely monitoring whether welfare schemes are reaching the intended beneficiaries.
Highlighting future plans, he said the government is focusing on population management to transform the population into an asset and is considering incentives for families with a third or fourth child.
The CM also announced a statewide land resurvey to cleanse land records and assured that by March next year, land disputes will be eliminated across the state.
He noted that this was his 17th participation in the Swarna Andhra–Swachh Andhra program since assuming office. He stressed the need for behavioral change among citizens to maintain cleanliness in all surroundings.
The government has set a target to make Andhra Pradesh a $2.4 trillion economy by 2047, with a per capita income of ₹54 lakh. Efforts are being made to reduce economic inequalities and improve living standards.
He stated that wealth creation is essential for welfare and highlighted the P4 program, where the top 10% of society supports the bottom 20% to eradicate poverty.
The Chief Minister criticized previous governments for mismanagement between 2019–2024 and said 8.6 million metric tonnes of waste were left behind, which is now being cleared.
He added that waste-to-energy plants are being set up, along with composting and circular economy initiatives. Segregation plants have been established to reduce dumping yards.
The state is also developing net-zero campuses in hostels and residential schools and promoting solar rooftop installations in government offices.
Through Swachh Rathas, solid and electronic waste is being collected, and the government aims to increase green cover to 33% across the state.
