CityLightBuzz: Hyderabad September 2.2026, The upcoming Telugu film ‘Maa Ramudu Andarivadu’, starring Sriram and Swathi Mandadi in the lead roles, is gearing up for a grand worldwide theatrical release on September 4. The film has already generated interest among movie lovers with its teaser and trailer, which received a positive response.
Produced by Anumula Lakshman Rao and Pallakonda Sriramulu under the banners of Anumula Productions and Sriram Creations, the film is directed by Yeddanapudi Maikil. Senior actor Suman, Sammeta Gandhi, Naga Mahesh, Baahubali Prabhakar, Anumula Lakshman Rao and others play key roles.
A grand pre-release event was held at Prasads Labs in Hyderabad, with producer Venkat Duggireddy and director Srinivasa Teja attending as chief guests. They congratulated the entire team and wished the film great success.
Suman: “I Am Confident the Film Will Be a Big Success”
Senior actor Suman, who plays a significant role in the film, said that talent is more important than glamour in the film industry. Praising hero Sriram, he said the actor has immense talent and has delivered an impressive performance in a dual role.
Suman revealed that his character is quite different from his previous roles, as he plays the Chief Minister, with the character carrying a strong social message.
He praised director Yeddanapudi Maikil for having great clarity and appreciated producer Anumula Lakshman Rao for his performance as the villain. Suman said the film has a strong story and interesting twists and expressed confidence that it would appeal to audiences.

Producer and actor Anumula Lakshman Rao said the team is highly confident about the film’s output. Apart from producing the movie, he also plays the antagonist.
He explained that his character is portrayed as a ruthless and authoritarian villain who has been an MLA for two decades and controls an entire village. The confrontation between his character and Suman, who plays the Chief Minister, is expected to be one of the highlights of the film.
The movie was shot in the scenic forests of Maredumilli, with the team promising spectacular visuals. He also highlighted the four songs composed by Manish Kumar as one of the film’s attractions.
Lakshman Rao said the film is scheduled to release in more than 200 theatres on September 4 and appealed to audiences to support the movie.
Director Yeddanapudi Maikil: “Father-Son Emotion Will Connect With Everyone”
Director Yeddanapudi Maikil said the team travelled with the project for nearly 14 months, overcoming several challenges before bringing the film to audiences.
He said hero Sriram, who is also his friend, extended tremendous support throughout the project, while heroine Swathi Mandadi cooperated fully despite limited facilities during the shoot.
Maikil revealed that he handled multiple responsibilities, including story, dialogues, songs and choreography, apart from directing the film.
According to the director, the movie combines a positive title and positive emotions with a strong storyline. He particularly highlighted the father-son emotional bond as a major element that will connect with audiences.
He expressed gratitude to everyone who supported the film and thanked senior actor Suman for his valuable contribution.
