Harish Rao: “KCR Handed Over Telangana Like a Ready-to-Occupy House, But Revanth Reddy Government Has Brought Every System Crashing Down”
CityLightBuzz: Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) released a “Chargesheet” against the Congress government at Telangana Bhavan, highlighting what the party described as failures during the government’s 1,000 days in office. BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao and former minister and BRS Legislature Party Deputy Leader T. Harish Rao participated in the programme.
Addressing the gathering, T. Harish Rao alleged that the Congress government had failed to fulfil its election promises, particularly the Six Guarantees, despite promising implementation within 100 days.
He said that former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) had worked hard for nearly a decade to build Telangana into a model State, developing sectors including drinking water, irrigation, agriculture, power, education and healthcare.
According to Harish Rao, however, several of these systems have weakened under the present Congress government. He specifically criticised the government over agriculture, electricity, healthcare, education, drinking water and law and order.
He said farmers who received 24-hour free power during the previous BRS government were now facing difficulties with electricity supply. He also alleged that government hospitals were facing shortages of essential medicines.
“KCR handed over Telangana like a ready-to-occupy house with everything in place. Instead of taking the State forward, the Revanth Reddy government has brought the systems crashing down,” Harish Rao said.
He further alleged that Telangana, which should have continued on the path of rapid development, was now moving towards regression because of the Congress government’s alleged failures.
The BRS announced a seven-day statewide protest programme to put pressure on the government to fulfil its guarantees, protect public institutions and address people’s problems
