The Chief Minister announced that the government will introduce a “Universal Housing Policy” to ensure that house sites are not limited to a few housing societies, but are allotted individually to all eligible journalists across Telangana.

The government is planning to allocate house sites to journalists in the prestigious “Future City” project being developed on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
Cabinet Sub-Committee Formation
A special cabinet sub-committee will be constituted under Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, with ministers N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, D. Sridhar Babu, and Jupally Krishna Rao as members to finalize guidelines and implementation.
Discussions with Housing Societies
Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has already held multiple meetings with representatives of journalist housing societies such as Jawaharlal Nehru Journalists Housing Society and Deccan Journalists Housing Society.
Decision Expected by June 2
The government aims to speed up the process and announce a clear decision by June 2, marking Telangana Formation Day.
Accreditation & Health Cards
Along with housing sites, the government will also ensure issuance of accreditation cards and health cards to eligible and genuine journalists. The Media Academy is working on new guidelines for the same.
