As part of the Praja Palana – Pragati Pranalika initiative, a Praja Darbar program was held at MR Gardens in Sattupalli mandal of Khammam district under the अध्यक्षత (chairmanship) of MLA Matta Ragamayi Dayanand, where I participated as the chief guest.
It was stated that due to the unplanned decisions of the previous BRS government and flaws in the Dharani portal, poor people and farmers faced severe difficulties. To address these issues, the government has introduced the “Bhu Bharati” Act, aiming to restore land rights to farmers and the poor. The government is working towards freeing land records that were earlier restricted and ensuring rightful ownership to the poor.
It was also announced that on June 2, under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the second phase of Indiramma housing scheme will be launched in a grand manner to fulfill the dream of owning a house for the poor.
Special assurance was given to resolve land issues related to Survey No. 399 in Sattupalli town and nearly 6,500 acres across 9 surrounding villages. Officials were directed to conduct detailed surveys of over 5,500 acres in areas like Pedapalli and Narayanapuram and issue Pattadar Passbooks to all eligible farmers while updating their names in revenue records.
Authorities were also instructed to resolve forest and revenue land disputes in 10–12 villages including Rudrakshapalli, Kokapadu, Talapenta, Ramachandrapuram, and Venkatagiri by completing boundary surveys before the onset of the monsoon.
It was assured that responsibility will be taken to provide land titles to poor farmers cultivating revenue lands for generations. Officials were directed not to obstruct farmers who are drilling borewells on lands where they have rights under the Forest Rights Act. District officials were instructed to closely monitor these matters.
Later, petitions were received directly from the people of Penuballi, Vemsuru, and Sattupalli mandals, and their grievances were heard. Assurance was given to resolve issues related to revenue, housing, and forest departments.
District Collector, Sub-Collector, ACP, DCP, IDC Chairman Muvva Vijay Babu, Municipal Chairperson, Market Committee Chairpersons, Councillors, Sarpanches, Ward Members, and other officials participated in the program.
