CityLightBuzz: Senior officials from the Indian Army have approached the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA), seeking immediate action to protect defence land from alleged encroachment.
Army Lieutenant Colonel Jai Singh met HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath and submitted a formal representation regarding the alleged illegal occupation of A-1 category Army land located in GLR Survey No. 507, Quthbullapur Mandal, Medchal–Malkajgiri district.
According to the complaint, unauthorized persons have allegedly encroached upon the defence land and are constructing a G+2 building without obtaining the required permissions. The Army requested HYDRAA to immediately halt the construction activities and safeguard the government-owned defence property.
After examining the representation, HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath directed officials to conduct a detailed field inspection, verify the allegations of encroachment, and initiate appropriate action in accordance with the law if the violations are confirmed.
HYDRAA ACP Umamaheshwar Rao was also present during the meeting.
