Hyderabad: ‘RawKing’ Manoj Manchu recently held a heartfelt and extensive press meet to announce the launch of his new organization, AIKYA DHAIRYA SENA SAMITHI. During the comprehensive interaction, he opened up about his sense of social responsibility, freedom of speech, women’s empowerment, his upcoming films, and his views on politics.
The Genesis of the Organization
Starting the interaction, Manoj shed light on the origins of the organization and the core philosophy behind its formation.
“We wanted to make a statewide impact, so we started with blood donation camps. We launched the initiative in Kukatpally, Hyderabad, and subsequently expanded to Kurnool, Kakinada, Tirupati, Vizag, and several other locations. I want to thank everyone who stepped forward to support us. This initiative will not stop; it will be a continuous platform for those who want to give back to society. Most importantly, it shall become a voice for the voiceless.”
He further explained the profound meaning behind the organization’s name:
“I strongly believe that if we remain divided, it will end badly for us all—division is a lingering gift left behind by the British. We must stay united, which is why we chose the word AIKYA (Unity). Because we hold immense respect, responsibility, and a sense of duty toward this trust, we named it after our children, Dhairav and Devasena. AIKYA DHAIRYA SENA SAMITHI is like our own child, and we intend to nurture it with the utmost care and concern.”
Candid Q&A Session Highlights
The interaction seamlessly transitioned into a detailed Q&A session where Manoj addressed the media’s pressing questions with trademark candor:
Q: Do you have a specific agenda or set of protocols for the organization? Manoj: “Not at the moment. We initially started in a very organic, unorganized manner, but we are now seeking professionals to help structure it properly. We aren’t limiting ourselves to just one cause; we are open to addressing various societal needs as people reach out to us. For example, we recently hosted a meet with social media influencers. They shared that whenever they raise their voices against influential figures, they face video strikes and threatening calls. I assured them that the AIKYA organization will stand by them, take matters forward legally, and safeguard their freedom of speech. We are going to be very strong about this and will not take a step back.”
Q: We’ve known you as a Rocking Star, a hero, a co-star, and an antagonist. How do you define yourself now? Manoj: “I’m an actor. Just an actor.”
Q: Do you have any plans to enter politics? Manoj: “Why speak of entering politics when I was born into it? My only focus is being on the people’s side.”
Q: Who makes the final decisions regarding your career and organization? Manoj: “I stopped agreeing to do films based on outside influences back in 2016 because too many people were getting involved. Now, I am the only person who makes decisions regarding my work; it is solely my choice. My wife, Mounika, is an incredible pillar of support, but we don’t dictate each other’s decisions.”
Q: Are you funding this entirely on your own, or do you have strong external backing? Manoj: “We are currently doing this entirely on our own. However, for initiatives that go beyond our personal capacity, we will reach out for broader support and organize fundraisers. As I mentioned, we are transitioning into a structured organization to handle this efficiently.”
Q: Is there a hidden political agenda behind this foundation? Manoj: “Absolutely not. We have been doing social service for a very long time. We just felt it was the right moment to formalize it into a proper platform and organization. There is zero political agenda here.”
Q: How will your organization address women’s empowerment? Manoj: “I have always stood up for women’s issues—in the past, present, and future. When I say that our organization stands up for everyone, that inherently includes women. Championing their rights is a given; I shouldn’t even have to specifically single it out.”
