Minister Nara Lokesh Meets DeltaX CEO Stephen Kim in Seoul

Seoul, South Korea: Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics Nara Lokesh met Stephen Kim, Founder and CEO of DeltaX, a South Korean company specializing in Machine Vision, Edge AI, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), along with the company’s leadership team in Seoul. During the meeting, Minister Lokesh highlighted that Andhra Pradesh is moving ahead with a well-planned vision to develop 160 GW of Green Energy and 25 GW of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. As part of this strategy, the state is building a comprehensive manufacturing ecosystem for ingots, solar-grade silicon wafers, PV cells, battery cells, and solar modules.

The Minister invited DeltaX to establish a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing unit in Andhra Pradesh, emphasizing the state’s world-class infrastructure, strategic port connectivity, and investor-friendly ecosystem. He also encouraged the company to integrate with the state’s DISCOMs and renewable energy developers to support utility-scale energy storage, data center operations, and industrial parks.

Speaking on the occasion, Stephen Kim, Founder and CEO of DeltaX, said the company, which was established in September 2020 in South Korea, has already set up its India office in Hyderabad. He added that DeltaX would soon take a positive decision regarding the establishment of a BESS manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh, considering the state’s rapid growth and investment-friendly environment.
