Tirupati, August 22, 2026: B. Sreedhar Varma formally assumed charge as the new Chairman of Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC), the devotional and spiritual broadcasting arm of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), at the SVBC office near Alipiri in Tirupati.Before taking charge, Sreedhar Varma received blessings at the Sri Ranganayakula Mandapam in Tirumala and later proceeded to Tirupati for the formal ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Sreedhar Varma expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve as SVBC Chairman. He said the channel has an important role in taking the glory of Lord Sri Venkateswara and the message of Hindu Dharma to devotees across the world. He assured that he would work closely with SVBC employees and focus on strengthening the channel.
Sreedhar Varma thanked Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Minister Nara Lokesh, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy for the opportunity.
The appointment follows a resolution passed at the 69th SVBC Board Meeting held on August 12, with Sreedhar Varma appointed Additional Director-cum-Chairman. Nandamuri Family Congratulates Sreedhar Varma
Several members of the Nandamuri family, including Nandamuri Mohana Krishna, Nandamuri Ramakrishna and Nandamuri Mohana Roopa, attended the programme and congratulated Sreedhar Varma on his new responsibility. Other dignitaries and well-wishers, including AP FDC Chairman Bharath Bhushan and TFPC Secretary Thummala Prasanna Kumar, also extended their greetings.
Nandamuri Mohana Krishna recalled the long-standing association between the Nandamuri family and Sreedhar Varma’s family. He described Sreedhar Varma as a brother-like figure and recalled the contribution of his father, NTR Raju, towards the service and development of TTD.Nandamuri Ramakrishna said Sreedhar Varma was deserving of the responsibility and expressed confidence that he would carry forward his family’s tradition of service to Lord Venkateswara.
Nandamuri Mohana Roopa described Sreedhar Varma’s appointment as a proud moment for the Nandamuri family and expressed confidence that he would discharge his responsibilities with dedication and integrity.
The dignitaries wished Sreedhar Varma success and expressed hope that under his leadership, SVBC will further strengthen its devotional programming and take the message and glory of Lord Sri Venkateswara to devotees across the globe
