This recognition is especially meaningful for me given my long association with CII, including the privilege of serving as its President in 2007 — a period when India was at a powerful economic inflection point, with rising global confidence in the country’s growth story. Today, as India charts new and even higher landmarks, and advances with strong economic momentum, institutions like CII continue to play a vital role in helping industry and government shape the future together. With a growing base of young consumers and entrepreneurs, industry has an important role to play through greater investments, stronger CAPEX, innovation, and a renewed commitment to the vision of ‘Make in India for India’.
