CityLightBuzz: Hyderabad August 29.2026, The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has begun preparations for a statewide campaign titled “Samarabheri”, aimed at highlighting what the party describes as the failures of the Congress government as it completes 1,000 days in office.
Following a call given by BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), party leaders in Medchal–Malkajgiri district have started preparing an action plan to take public issues and alleged government failures to the people.
Shambipur Raju Holds Meeting with BRS Leaders
As part of the preparations, BRS Medchal district president and MLC Shambipur Raju conducted a meeting with party MLAs and senior leaders at the BRS district office.Former minister Ch. Malla Reddy, along with MLAs M. Krishna Reddy, K.P. Vivekanand, Marri Rajasekhar Reddy and Bandari Lakshma Reddy, besides other senior party leaders, attended the meeting.
The leaders discussed various issues being faced by people under the present Congress government, pending development works, the status of implementation of election promises and issues that need to be taken to the public as part of the Samarabheri campaign.
BRS to Highlight Unfulfilled Promises
During the meeting, leaders alleged that the Congress government had failed to fulfil several promises made to the people after coming to power.
They discussed issues including delays in development works, difficulties in implementation of welfare schemes and problems faced by farmers, students, employees, workers and the general public.
The district leadership decided to organise intensive programmes at the grassroots level to identify public grievances and question the government over issues affecting people.
Focus on Medchal–Malkajgiri Issues
The BRS leaders decided to give special attention to several local issues in Medchal–Malkajgiri district, including:

Pending development works
Road infrastructure
Drainage problems
Drinking water supply
Protection and restoration of lakes
Protection of government lands
Traffic problems
Double-bedroom housing
Welfare schemes
Other local civic issues
The party plans to highlight these issues through the Samarabheri campaign and seek answers from the government.
“What Did People Get in 1,000 Days?”
BRS leaders said the campaign would place several questions before the people, including:
What has the public received during the 1,000 days of Congress rule?
How many of the promises made by the Congress government have been fulfilled?
How many development projects initiated during the previous BRS government are being continued?
The party said these issues would be taken to the grassroots level and that the government would be questioned on its performance.
BRS Promises Continued Fight on Public Issues
The district BRS leadership said the party would continue to fight for public issues under the guidance of party president K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) and the leadership of Working President K.T. Rama Rao and former minister T. Harish Rao.
The party leaders said BRS would continue to raise people’s concerns and question the Congress government over what they describe as failures in governance and implementation of its promises.
