Officials Must Conduct Field-Level Visits: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu
360-Degree Performance Review of Officials and Employees
New System to Enable Citizens to Track Their Complaints
CM Chandrababu Reviews RTGS Performance
Amaravati, June 17:
Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu made it clear that every official must conduct field-level visits regularly. He directed that officials should mandatorily undertake field inspections from June onwards.
The Chief Minister reviewed the performance of various departments through RTGS at the State Secretariat on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “It has been more than two years since taking up administrative responsibilities. The entire government machinery must remain alert to ensure that mistakes do not occur. The focus should be on identifying shortcomings and finding solutions. Officials and employees must work in that direction.”
He emphasized that there should be no negligence in providing services to citizens. “Officials must visit the field and personally examine ground-level issues. This will help build greater public confidence in the administration. People should feel that inspections are being carried out effectively. From senior officers to field-level staff, everyone must work with this objective,” he said.
The Chief Minister stated that from July onwards, every officer must visit the field without fail. He reiterated that officials should conduct field visits three days a week as instructed earlier. District Collectors have been directed to visit every Assembly constituency four times, while constituency nodal officers should visit the same mandal four times every month.
“Performance of officials and employees will be reviewed through a 360-degree evaluation system,” the Chief Minister said.

Endowments Department Must Improve Services
CM Chandrababu Naidu said the Endowments Department needs to focus more on improving services for devotees at temples. He stressed that the performance of employees in the department should improve further.
“Employee performance in all departments must continuously improve. Necessary training should be provided to employees. Singapore has adopted innovative administrative practices, and we should study those governance models,” he said.
He informed that around 11,600 potholes were identified across municipalities in the state, of which 79% have already been repaired. He directed officials to complete the remaining road repairs quickly, especially on urban-rural connectivity roads.
He also instructed the Roads & Buildings and Municipal Administration departments to work in coordination for road construction and repair works.

Technology Integration in Governance
The Chief Minister said Google has agreed to work with the Andhra Pradesh government in implementing data-driven governance initiatives.
“The Commercial Taxes Department is already working with Google. Similar steps should be taken across other departments,” he said.
Reviewing the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS), the Chief Minister directed officials to resolve public complaints quickly.
He suggested introducing a system where applicants can personally track the status of their grievances and understand the progress of their complaints.
Chief Secretary Sai Prasad and senior officials from various departments attended the meeting.
