Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy Hands Over ₹3,504 Crore Cheque for Maize Farmers at Rythu Ashirvada Sabha in Khammam

Khammam: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy attended the Rythu Ashirvada Sabha held at Jagannathapuram village in Chintakani Mandal of Khammam district, where he announced a major financial support package for maize farmers. On the occasion, the Chief Minister handed over a ₹3,504 crore cheque towards payments for maize farmers, reaffirming the State Government’s commitment to safeguarding farmers’ interests and ensuring timely financial assistance. Addressing the gathering, Revanth Reddy said the Congress government is committed to strengthening the agricultural sector by providing fair prices, timely payments, and comprehensive support to farmers. He stated that agriculture remains the backbone of Telangana’s economy and assured that the government would continue implementing farmer-centric policies aimed at improving rural livelihoods.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the payment would directly benefit thousands of maize farmers across the state, helping them receive their dues without delay and reducing financial stress during the cultivation season. He emphasized that the government is focused on ensuring transparency in procurement and prompt disbursement of payments.

Revanth Reddy reiterated that the welfare of farmers remains one of the government’s highest priorities and said several initiatives are being implemented to improve agricultural infrastructure, irrigation facilities, market access, and crop support mechanisms.

 

The Rythu Ashirvada Sabha witnessed the participation of ministers, Members of Parliament, MLAs, public representatives, senior government officials, and a large number of farmers from Khammam district and surrounding regions. The event underscored the Telangana Government’s continued efforts to support the farming community through financial assistance, procurement reforms, and welfare initiatives aimed at strengthening the state’s agricultural economy.
