Foundation Stone Laid for Arya Vysya Atma Gourava Bhavan at Uppal Bhagayat
CityLightBuzz: Hyderabad, September 13, 2026: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy assured that the People’s Government would extend steadfast support for the welfare and development of poor Arya Vysya families in the state.
The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the Arya Vysya Atma Gourava Bhavan at Uppal Bhagayat in Hyderabad. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Minister Vivek Venkataswamy, Rajya Sabha Member Vem Narender Reddy, former Minister T.G. Venkatesh, several MLAs, corporation chairpersons and representatives of various Arya Vysya associations.Government Support for Atma Gourava Bhavan . Addressing a meeting organised on the occasion, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy assured representatives of the Arya Vysya community that the state government would provide all necessary assistance for the construction of the Atma Gourava Bhavan.
He also suggested that the facility should be effectively utilised for the education, development and welfare of children from economically weaker Arya Vysya families. CM Praises Arya Vysya Community’s Contribution
The Chief Minister highlighted the significant contribution of the Arya Vysya community to society and appreciated its tradition of compassion and humanitarian service.
Referring to the community’s role in rural areas, he said that Arya Vysya traders have earned the trust of poor families by providing essential goods on credit during
difficult times. He described them as “brand ambassadors of trust” for the poor.
Revanth Reddy further observed that foresight, prudence and careful decision-making have traditionally been important characteristics of the Arya Vysya community. References to Mahatma Gandhi and Other Leaders
The Chief Minister recalled that Mahatma Gandhi was born into an ordinary Arya Vysya family and rose to become a globally recognised leader from India. He said Gandhi’s worldwide legacy remains a matter of pride and noted that his statues can be found in countries across the globe.
He also recalled the sacrifice of Potti Sreeramulu for the formation of Andhra State and acknowledged the contribution of Konijeti Rosaiah, particularly his service as Finance Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh.
Call for Unity and Greater Participation.The Chief Minister urged members of the Arya Vysya community to remain united and work together to strengthen their collective voice.
He said that greater unity and cohesion would help the community achieve its rightful representation in politics and public life. He also pointed out that priority had been given to members of the Arya Vysya community in various corporations and municipalities.
The foundation stone ceremony marked an important step towards establishing the Arya Vysya Atma Gourava Bhavan, envisioned as a platform for community development, welfare and support for future generations.
