Speaking at the Praja Palana – Pragati Pranalika public meeting in Miyapur, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy emphasized the need for planned urban development and appealed to all political parties to work together for Hyderabad’s future.

The Chief Minister stated that Hyderabad is among the six major cities driving India’s economy and highlighted the challenges faced by other metropolitan cities such as pollution in Delhi, flooding in Mumbai, and traffic congestion in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Kolkata. He said the decision to divide the Greater Hyderabad region into three corporations was taken to ensure systematic growth and better governance.

Revanth Reddy questioned BJP leaders, including Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, over the lack of central funding for Telangana and challenged both Kishan Reddy and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to a public debate on governance, development, and funds secured for the state.

The Chief Minister announced plans for a 100-acre International Bus Terminal at Gazularamaram, Metro Rail Phase-II expansion, construction of one lakh LIG and MIG houses, and initiatives to provide quality education, housing, women’s empowerment, and enhanced public infrastructure. He reiterated that the state government’s focus for the next 24 months will remain firmly on development and public welfare.
