Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy instructed district collectors to work in mission mode and expedite paddy procurement and maize purchasing operations across the state. He directed officials to ensure that farmers do not face any inconvenience at procurement centres and stated that collectors would be held responsible for any issues arising during the process.

✅ The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of paddy procurement across the state through a video conference with district collectors at the camp office. He enquired about difficulties and challenges faced in paddy and maize procurement in various districts.

✅ The Chief Minister issued clear instructions to collectors regarding procurement operations and directed them to submit regular reports to the Chief Secretary.

✅ “Officials must continuously monitor ground-level conditions at procurement centres. Adequate availability of gunny bags and hamalis should be ensured. Procured paddy must be shifted to warehouses without delay.

✅ Contractors failing to provide sufficient lorries as per agreements for transportation of paddy should not be spared. If necessary, criminal cases should also be filed against them.

✅ Local hamalis should be identified and engaged to avoid delays in loading operations. Farmers must be given receipts immediately after loading to prevent irregularities in weighing and deductions,” he said.

✅ In case of shortage of lorries, the Transport Department Commissioner was instructed to utilise tractors and other locally available vehicles to ensure smooth transportation of paddy.

✅ The Chief Minister noted that some regions were facing warehouse shortages and suggested temporary arrangements wherever necessary. He advised officials to utilise Rythu Bazaars, function halls, and other available spaces for temporary storage until paddy is shifted to warehouses.

✅ He directed district collectors to identify region-wise problems and take prompt action, warning that the government would not hesitate to act against negligent officials and collectors.

✅ Collectors in districts with large-scale maize cultivation were asked to remain alert and ensure that farmers face no inconvenience. They were also instructed to seek police support wherever required for smooth procurement operations.

✅ The Chief Minister stressed the need for permanent plans to protect farmers from losses during unseasonal rains. He instructed officials to make tarpaulins available to farmers to protect paddy from rain damage.

✅ He also directed the appointment of special officers at mandal level to alert farmers based on weather department forecasts and establish a dedicated system for communicating weather updates to farmers.

✅ An officer should be appointed for every IKP centre and every rice mill to ensure effective monitoring and accountability, the Chief Minister instructed.

✅ Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Jupally Krishna Rao, Dansari Anasuya Seethakka and other senior officials participated in the video conference.
