Nagarjuna Sagar: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy participated in the Maha Varuna Yagam held at Vijay Vihar near Nagarjuna Sagar on the banks of the Krishna River, seeking abundant rainfall and prosperity for the state.
The spiritual ceremony was conducted with the participation of 108 priests and 11 Homa Kundas and concluded with the traditional Purnahuti.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accompanied by his wife, participated in the rituals and offered prayers for widespread and timely rainfall across Telangana, full reservoirs, prosperous crops and the overall well-being of the people.
The Yagam was organised with prayers for adequate water availability, the welfare of farmers and a good agricultural season. The prayers also sought sufficient inflows into reservoirs and water bodies across the state.
The Maha Varuna Yagam at the picturesque Nagarjuna Sagar, performed on the banks of the Krishna River, witnessed the participation of priests and devotees as the sacred rituals were performed seeking the blessings of Varuna Dev.
The ceremony concluded with Purnahuti, marking the culmination of the Yagam.
