CityLightbuzz: BRS senior leader and former Irrigation Minister Harish Rao launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, accusing them of failing to manage Telangana’s irrigation resources despite abundant water availability.
Harish Rao alleged that the Congress government has failed to operate irrigation pump houses even as rivers are flowing with sufficient water. He questioned why the Devadula Lift Irrigation Scheme pumps are not being operated and claimed there are no technical objections preventing their use. He further alleged that water meant for Telangana is being diverted to Andhra Pradesh, accused the government of neglecting irrigation infrastructure created during the previous BRS administration, and criticized the Chief Minister for making misleading statements. Harish Rao also said he would respond point-by-point to the remarks made by Revanth Reddy.
