CityLightBuzz: BRS President and former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) visited Yashoda Hospital, Secunderabad, to enquire about the health condition of senior BRS leader and former Narsampet MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy, who is undergoing treatment after falling critically ill.
KCR visited the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where Peddi Sudarshan Reddy is receiving treatment, and held detailed discussions with the team of doctors regarding his medical condition. Visibly emotional after seeing his long-time political associate, KCR spent nearly 30 minutes reviewing the treatment being provided and seeking updates from the medical team.
During the visit, KCR folded his hands before the doctors and appealed emotionally, saying, “Please do whatever it takes, but save our Peddi Sudarshan Reddy.”
The doctors informed KCR that the patient is receiving world-class advanced medical care with support from senior specialists and consultations from experts abroad, including the United States. They explained that his heart, lungs, and other vital organs are functioning, but brain activity still requires further recovery. Doctors said another 48 hours would be needed before they could provide a clearer assessment of his condition.
Hospital Director Dr. Pavan Gorukanti and Managing Directors A.S. Rao and J.S. Rao assured KCR that every possible effort is being made using the latest medical technology, continuous MRI scans, and expert consultations to improve the patient’s condition.After meeting the doctors, KCR interacted with Peddi Sudarshan Reddy’s family members, including his wife Swapna, son Nidarshan Reddy, daughter Dharmishta, brothers Srinivas Reddy and Ravinder Reddy, and sister Swathi. He consoled them, encouraged them to remain strong, and expressed confidence that with God’s grace, the doctors’ efforts, and the blessings of the people, Sudarshan Reddy would recover. KCR also assured the family that the BRS party would extend all necessary financial support and would spare no effort to ensure the best possible treatment for the senior leader.
Several senior BRS leaders accompanied KCR during the hospital visit, including Harish Rao, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Rajayya, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Satyavathi Rathod, Padma Rao Goud, Vinod Kumar, former MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar, MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy, Dr. Sanjay, and other party leaders.
