At the paddy procurement center in Edulabad Division under Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation limits, BJP Medchal Constituency In-Charge, BJP State Executive Member, and former MPP Enugu Sudarshan Reddy expressed happiness over Prime Minister Narendra Modi increasing the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for paddy from ₹2,300 to ₹2,372 per quintal, providing an additional ₹72 benefit to farmers.
On this occasion, celebrations were held with farmers at the procurement center, and sweets were distributed.
Speaking at the event, Enugu Sudarshan Reddy said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi considers farmers as the backbone of the nation and continuously works for their welfare and development. The Central Government is taking several historic decisions with the goal of doubling farmers’ income. The increase in paddy MSP is one such important decision.”
He further stated that schemes like PM-KISAN and Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana are providing direct financial assistance to farmers. He said the Central Government is committed to ensuring remunerative prices for every grain produced by farmers.
He also mentioned that the government is providing facilities such as weighing equipment, gunny bags, labor support, and other amenities at procurement centers so that farmers do not face any difficulties.
Finally, Enugu Sudarshan Reddy said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi gives top priority to farmers’ welfare with the belief that when farmers become stronger, the nation becomes stronger. The farming community of the country will always support Modi’s leadership.”
