Congress Spreading False Propaganda on Debts Incurred by the KCR Government: Former Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav
Hyderabad: Former Minister and BRS Deputy Floor Leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav alleged that the Congress government is spreading false propaganda regarding the debts incurred during the KCR-led BRS government. He was speaking as the chief guest at the Jubilee Hills Constituency Meeting held at Telangana Bhavan.
Talasani said that during the BRS government, festivals such as Ramzan, Bathukamma, and Christmas were celebrated on a grand scale with equal importance. He also alleged that the ruling Congress misused official machinery during the by-elections.
Speaking on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, he urged party booth-level agents to remain vigilant and ensure that the names of eligible voters are not removed. He also called upon all citizens who have attained the age of 18 to register as voters.

He claimed that while the KCR government borrowed around ₹4 lakh crore over 10 years, it implemented several welfare and development programmes. In contrast, he questioned what the Congress government had achieved after allegedly borrowing ₹4 lakh crore in just two and a half years.
Talasani alleged that the Congress came to power by making misleading promises and accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of using inappropriate language instead of answering questions about the implementation of election promises.
He described the BRS as the party that fought for and achieved the formation of Telangana under the leadership of K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), stating that KCR made immense sacrifices for the statehood movement. He further remarked that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy “cannot go a day without thinking about KCR.” Praising former MLA Maganti Gopinath, Talasani said he had worked tirelessly for the development of the Jubilee Hills constituency. On electoral reforms, Talasani alleged that the BJP was attempting to remove the votes of certain sections of society. He stressed that voting is a constitutional right and called for the identification and removal of bogus voters while protecting genuine voters’ rights. He urged the public to actively participate in the electoral process.
Addressing party workers, he asked BRS leaders to remain united and work responsibly for the party’s growth. He said only leaders who enjoy public support and goodwill would be considered for future corporation elections.

He also called on party leaders to continue highlighting the Congress government’s alleged failure to fulfil its election promises and accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of attacking the opposition instead of explaining his government’s achievements.
Referring to the recent political developments, Talasani alleged that Harish Rao was “illegally arrested” after being challenged to a public debate. He expressed confidence that the BRS would return to power after the next elections, adding that once back in office, the party would repay every commitment made to the people, “with interest.”
