
CityLightBuzz: Telangana Health, Medical & Family Welfare Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha on Tuesday conducted a review meeting on the development of government hospitals in the Ibrahimpatnam Assembly constituency at the Secretariat. The meeting was attended by Ibrahimpatnam MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy, Health Department Principal Secretary Dr. Christina Z. Chongthu, Health & Family Welfare Commissioner Dr. Sangeetha Satyanarayana, Director of Medical Education Dr. Narendra Kumar, Director of Public Health Dr. Ravinder Naik, and other senior officials. During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the progress of the newly sanctioned building for the Ibrahimpatnam Area Hospital. The Telangana Government has recently approved the construction of a new hospital building at an estimated cost of ₹38 crore. The Minister instructed officials to expedite the construction work and ensure that the new hospital building is completed at the earliest. Until the new facility becomes operational, he directed officials to continue providing medical services from alternative government buildings and make all necessary arrangements to avoid inconvenience to patients.

Noting that Ibrahimpatnam is located close to Hyderabad and has a rapidly growing population, Damodar Rajanarsimha stressed the need to appoint adequate doctors and healthcare staff to meet the increasing demand for medical services.He also directed officials to further strengthen healthcare services at the Yacharam Community Health Centre and Hayathnagar Community Health Centre, ensuring improved medical facilities for residents across the constituency.
