CityLightBuzz: Telangana Minister for Health, Medical & Family Welfare, Science & Technology, Sri Damodar Rajanarsimha, will formally launch the National Deworming Day (NDD) programme by administering Albendazole tablets to schoolchildren at Raj Bhavan Government High School, Hyderabad. The programme aims to improve the health and nutritional status of children by protecting them from intestinal worm infections through mass deworming. Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender and MLC Addanki Dayakar will also participate in the launch programme, along with senior officials from the Health Department, education officials, teachers, students, and public representatives.National Deworming Day is a flagship public health initiative that seeks to ensure better health, nutrition, and overall well-being among children by administering Albendazole tablets in schools and Anganwadi centres across the state.
