Film producer Ramky has strongly countered senior journalist Pasham Yadagiri for his remarks allegedly targeting the film industry in the name of criticizing Pawan Kalyan.
He stated that criticizing a political leader is one thing, but dragging an entire industry and insulting thousands of families dependent on it is unacceptable. Ramky expressed disappointment, saying that despite Yadagiri’s long experience and reputation during the Telangana movement, such comments reflect a narrow mindset.
He questioned why personal or political differences with Pawan Kalyan should be extended to the film industry, emphasizing that the Telugu film industry stands united without regional divisions between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Ramky highlighted that the industry contributes significantly to Telangana’s economy, generating thousands of crores in revenue, creating employment, and paying taxes within the state. He added that many industry members have invested heavily in Telangana and continue to support its growth.
He further criticized attempts to create regional divisions within the industry for political gains, asserting that such efforts will not succeed. Ramky warned that irresponsible statements against the film industry will not be tolerated and urged Yadagiri to withdraw his remarks.
