BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind Targets Telangana Government Over Student Fee Reimbursement Dues

FLASH NEWS POLITICAL

Hyderabad: BJP Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind has stepped up his criticism of the Telangana government over pending fee reimbursement dues and student welfare issues, demanding greater accountability from the Congress government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Arvind has repeatedly raised the issue of pending fee reimbursement payments, questioning both the present Congress government and the previous BRS administration over the accumulation of student-related dues. In July, he demanded answers from Revanth Reddy and BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) over the issue, which he said was affecting around 20 lakh students.
The BJP MP has alleged that delays in clearing fee reimbursement dues are placing financial pressure on students, parents and educational institutions. He has demanded that the government ensure that students do not suffer because of delays in the release of funds.
The issue has gained further political significance as the Telangana government has announced a new approach to fee reimbursement. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy recently announced that ₹2,400 crore would be provided for fee reimbursement, with the money to be transferred directly to students’ bank accounts. The government has also said that ₹250 crore had already been made available for immediate payments.
Arvind’s criticism comes amid growing political debate over education funding and the financial burden faced by students and colleges. The BJP has been demanding that pending dues be cleared and that scholarship and fee reimbursement mechanisms be made more effective.
Apart from education-related issues, Arvind has remained an outspoken critic of the Telangana government on several political and administrative matters. In recent months, he has also made strong political remarks about the future of the Congress government in Telangana. In May 2026, he predicted a major defeat for Congress in the next Assembly elections and made controversial political observations regarding Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Dharmapuri Arvind is the BJP Member of Parliament from Nizamabad, and his political activities have focused on issues concerning farmers, students and the wider development of Telangana. His official profile highlights his role in the establishment of the National Turmeric Board, a long-standing demand of turmeric farmers in the region.
The BJP MP’s latest statements have added to the ongoing political confrontation between the BJP and the ruling Congress in Telangana, particularly over student welfare, government spending and implementation of welfare schemes
