ABVP Announces Statewide School Bandh on June 23, Demands Reforms in Education Sector
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has called for a statewide school bandh on June 23.
A press conference was organized by ABVP Secunderabad District and Ameerpet City Unit. Speaking on the occasion, ABVP State Executive Member Middela Gautam said that the government’s plan to shut down 23,000 out of 27,000 government schools in the name of integrated schools should be stopped.
He demanded strict action against financial exploitation by private and corporate schools and urged the government to introduce a fee regulation law. He also demanded immediate recruitment of vacant teaching and non-teaching posts, improvement of basic facilities in government schools, construction of permanent buildings for Gurukul schools, and immediate implementation of NEP 2020.
ABVP also demanded a ban on the sale of books and uniforms through private school managements.
Middela Gautam announced that ABVP has called for a statewide school bandh on June 23 to highlight these demands.
The program was attended by District Kala Manch Convener Dileep, Vardhan, Sai, Abhinay, and others.
