Recently, certain news channels and social media platforms began circulating unverified reports and rumors regarding Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief B. Mahesh Kumar Goud. The fake news primarily revolved around speculations that he might be replaced as the PCC President.
Mahesh Kumar Goud’s Strong Rebuttal: Reacting fiercely to the rumors, TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud condemned the false narratives spread by a specific news channel. He stated that the public and the party cadre do not believe such baseless news. He clarified that any decision regarding a change in the PCC leadership is solely the prerogative of the Congress High Command. He emphasized, “If a channel writes fake news about me, nobody is in a position to believe it. My party cadre is the one who evaluates my actual performance.”
Anger Among BC Leaders: Following this smear campaign, several Backward Classes (BC) leaders and Congress party workers expressed severe outrage. Since Mahesh Kumar Goud represents the BC community in a highly prominent political position, BC leaders viewed this fake propaganda as a targeted political conspiracy to malign his image and suppress BC leadership in the state.
