
Chaired a review meeting with officials from the Ministry of Tourism, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), and Telangana Tourism to assess the progress of tourism and heritage projects sanctioned under key Central Government initiatives, including PRASHAD, Swadesh Darshan 2.0, and the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI).
The meeting focused on expediting the implementation of the following major projects:
- Development of Jogulamba Temple
- Development of Ramappa Temple and the UNESCO World Heritage Site region
- Strengthening pilgrimage infrastructure at Bhadrachalam
- Creation of basic amenities at Balkampet Yellamma Temple
- Establishment of a Digital Experience Centre at Buddhavanam, Nagarjunasagar
- Development of an Eco-Tourism Project at Nizamsagar, Kamareddy
- Creation of an Experiential Tourism Zone at Bhongir Fort
- Development of an Eco-Tourism Zone at Ananthagiri Hills, Vikarabad
- Development of the Somasila Wellness & Spiritual Retreat in the Nallamala region
The review emphasized the timely execution of these projects to strengthen Telangana’s tourism ecosystem, preserve its rich cultural and spiritual heritage, and create sustainable opportunities for economic growth and employment.
