CityLightBuzz: Producer Phani Adapaka expressed immense happiness after “Committee Kurrollu” won two prestigious National Film Awards at the 72nd National Film Awards—Best Telugu Film and Best Makeup.
Speaking on the occasion, he said: I began my journey as a producer with Siddharth Roy. My first film gave me invaluable experience. Later, I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to produce Committee Kurrollu, a film with a powerful story and strong emotional depth, in association with Pink Elephant Pictures.
Today, seeing the same film receive two National Awards—Best Telugu Film and Best Makeup—is a moment of indescribable joy. As a producer, this is one of the proudest moments of my career. Receiving national recognition for our film is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire team.
I wholeheartedly congratulate our director, cast, technicians, and every member of the unit who worked with complete commitment. I also extend my sincere thanks to Pink Elephant Pictures for standing by me throughout this journey.
Most importantly, these awards truly belong to the audience, who embraced Committee Kurrollu as their own from the very first day of its release. Their love and support have been the greatest strength behind this achievement. I dedicate this success to them.
We are currently working on several exciting projects in collaboration with ETV Win. Along with theatrical releases, we aim to deliver innovative and high-quality stories for OTT platforms as well.
These National Awards have increased our responsibility. Going forward, we will continue to produce meaningful stories, encourage fresh talent, and create films and web series that further elevate the stature of Telugu cinema.”
Producer Phani Adapaka concluded by reaffirming his commitment to bringing quality content to audiences and contributing to the growth of Telugu cinema.
