CityLightBuzz: A new MeeSeva Centre has been inaugurated at the Chief Minister’s Prajavani to provide faster and more accessible public services to citizens visiting the grievance redressal programme. The centre was formally inaugurated on Tuesday by Dr. G. Chinna Reddy, CM Prajavani In-charge and Vice Chairman of the State Planning Commission, in the presence of State Nodal Officer K. Vidyasagar and MeeSeva Director Ravi Kiran.
The newly established MeeSeva Centre aims to offer a wide range of government services to applicants visiting the CM Prajavani from across Telangana. Citizens can now apply for Indiramma Double Bedroom Housing, obtain various government certificates, and access multiple public services under one roof.
With the addition of the MeeSeva Centre, nearly all government department desks are now available within the CM Prajavani, making it more convenient for citizens to submit applications and receive assistance.
During Tuesday’s CM Prajavani held at Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan, a total of 321 applications were received. Dr. G. Chinna Reddy and State Nodal Officer K. Vidyasagar personally received the petitions, endorsed them, and contacted the concerned officials over the phone to ensure prompt resolution of grievances.
Among the applications received, 144 were related to the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department, 51 to the Revenue Department, 25 to the Home Department, 2 to the Pravasi Prajavani, while the remaining 99 pertained to various other government departments.
A delegation of contingency employees working in police stations across Telangana submitted a representation requesting the release of their pending 18 months’ salaries. Responding immediately, Dr. G. Chinna Reddy spoke with Director General of Police (DGP) C.V. Anand over the phone and requested him to take necessary steps to ensure the pending salaries are released at the earliest.
The programme was attended by ACP Umender, Deputy Collector Venkateswarlu, NRI Advisory Council Vice Chairman Manda Bhim Reddy, Coordinator Bojja Amarender Reddy, and officials from various government departments.
