The 7th State-Level Committee meeting of the Haritha Nidhi was held at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat under the chairmanship of Forest, Environment, and Endowments Minister Konda Surekha.
During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the progress of previously approved projects and granted approval for several new initiatives related to environmental protection and forest development.
The committee approved proposals for the establishment of nurseries, development of urban parks, forest conservation, forest research, training programs, public awareness campaigns, and eco-tourism development projects.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Konda Surekha said that Haritha Nidhi has become a crucial platform for environmental conservation in Telangana. She stated that the government is giving special focus to protecting forests and increasing greenery in urban areas.
The Minister emphasized that every project must be implemented effectively to provide a better environment for future generations.
She directed officials to complete both ongoing and newly approved projects within the stipulated timelines while maintaining strict quality standards. She also instructed that projects should be designed transparently and in a way that directly benefits the public.
Konda Surekha further stated that the government is committed to protecting forest wealth, preserving biodiversity, and promoting eco-tourism to create employment opportunities for local youth.
She called upon officials to work in coordination and ensure the successful implementation of Haritha Nidhi objectives across the state.
