Telangana CM Reviews “Cancer Atlas of Telangana” Report

A. Revanth Reddy stated that the “Cancer Atlas of Telangana” will play a crucial role in identifying cancer-prone regions in the state and analyzing the causes behind the rising cases.

The Chief Minister received the report prepared by government advisor and renowned medical expert Dr. Nori Dattatreyudu during a meeting held at his Jubilee Hills residence.

During the meeting, Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha, MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, and senior officials were also present.

The Chief Minister appreciated Dr. Nori Dattatreyudu for preparing a comprehensive report on cancer prevalence in Telangana. He said the report would help the government identify regions with high cancer incidence and analyze the reasons behind it.

Based on the data in the report, the government plans to establish special cancer screening centers in areas with a high number of cancer cases.

CM Revanth Reddy also stated that specialized cancer hospitals would be set up not only in Hyderabad but also in other regions where cancer cases are high. He further directed officials to ensure better cancer treatment facilities under the Aarogyasri scheme in corporate hospitals across the state.
