CityLightBuzz: Hyderabad, Popular dance choreographer SHRASTI VARMA, known for her work in films including Pushpa 2, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday at the BJP Telangana State Office in Hyderabad. Telangana BJP President N. Ramchander Rao formally welcomed SHRASTI VARMA into the party by offering her the BJP scarf. Along with SHRASTI VARMA, several other emerging artists and young personalities also joined the BJP during the programme.SHRASTI VARMA began her career through the popular dance reality show Dhee and later worked as an assistant choreographer before establishing herself in the Telugu film industry. She gained wider recognition for choreographing “Sooseki” from Pushpa 2, and has also worked on songs from films such as Jailer, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Krack, Beast, Game Changer, Maname and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. She also appeared as a contestant on Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9. Speaking at the joining programme, N. Ramchander Rao welcomed the new entrants and said that the participation of young people in politics and their decision to join the BJP was encouraging.The joining of a well-known entertainment personality like SHRASTI VARMA is being viewed as an important development for the Telangana BJP as the party continues efforts to expand its presence among youth and different sections of society.SHRASTI VARMA
