CityLightBuzz: Hyderabad: Telangana DGP C.V. Anand, IPS held discussions with DSPs from the 1991, 1995 and 1996 batches over their long-pending promotion issue. He assured the officers that he would take special steps to resolve the matter and, if necessary, bring it to the Chief Minister’s attention for a permanent solution. He said 37 DSPs are due for promotion as Additional SPs, with the process delayed due to court cases.
C.V. Anand, IPS, appealed to the officers not to let disputes affect their promotions and urged them to cooperate so theprocess could move forward quickly. He also said the 37 existing Additional SP vacancies would be filled immediately.
Officers from the Warangal Zone and Hyderabad City have expressed willingness to withdraw their cases, raising hopes that the long-pending promotion issue will be resolved soon.
