CityLightBuzz: Tirumala: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu participated in the Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams at Tirumala and offered traditional silk robes to Lord Venkateswara on behalf of the State government.The Chief Minister, accompanied by his wife Nara Bhuvaneswari, had darshan of Lord Venkateswara and presented the silk robes as part of the traditional ceremony. TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, Executive Officer Ravichandra and board members welcomed the Chief Minister and his wife at the temple.
Minister Nara Lokesh and his wife Brahmani also had darshan of Lord Venkateswara.
Speaking after the ceremony, Chandrababu Naidu said it was his good fortune to offer the silk robes to Lord Venkateswara on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh government. He prayed for abundant rainfall in Andhra Pradesh, the progress of the country and for Andhra Pradesh to emerge as the best-performing State in India.
The Chief Minister also prayed for the health, happiness and prosperity of the people. He said devotees across the world have immense faith in Lord Venkateswara, whom he described as the visible divine presence of Kaliyuga.
Chandrababu Naidu congratulated the TTD governing board and officials for their efficient management of the Tirumala temple and said its disciplined administration serves as an inspiration to other temples across the country.
