NIRMAL, NOVEMBER 3: BJP Legislature Party (BJLP) Floor Leader and Nirmal MLA Alleti Maheshwar Reddy launched a strong political attack on the Congress party during the Maha Padayatra held in Nirmal on Tuesday, November 3, under the slogan “Protect Democracy… End Anarchy!”
Addressing party workers and supporters, Maheshwar Reddy alleged that the Congress party was neglecting public issues in Telangana while concentrating on political activities in Delhi. He expressed confidence that the BJP would strengthen its presence across Telangana and said the saffron flag would soon fly across the state.
Welcoming BJP National General Secretary and Telangana State In-charge Sunil Bansal, he described his presence in Telangana as a significant indication of the party’s political ambitions. He also appreciated the participation of thousands of people who joined the three-kilometre-long padayatra despite the rain.
Criticism of Congress and Rahul Gandhi
Maheshwar Reddy criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his allegations of vote theft, questioning whether he could provide evidence of the alleged deletion of votes. He also questioned the Congress party’s claims regarding electoral irregularities and challenged its leaders to verify such allegations in their own constituencies.
He accused Congress leaders of attempting to create political instability by raising questions about democratic institutions and alleged that foreign influences were being invoked to create unrest in the country. He asserted that India’s youth would stand firmly in support of national unity and democracy.
Targets Revanth Reddy Over Six Guarantees
The BJP leader also criticised Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy over the implementation of the Congress party’s six guarantees.
He alleged that the government had failed to fulfil several election promises, including a monthly pension of ₹4,000, employment opportunities for unemployed youth, fee reimbursement for students and Rythu Bharosa assistance for farmers.
He further accused the Chief Minister of focusing on political activities in Delhi instead of addressing the concerns of farmers, students, unemployed youth and other sections of society.
Referring to the Chief Minister’s remarks about being a ‘Mutha Mesthri’, Maheshwar Reddy made critical remarks about his leadership and alleged that the people of Telangana were being let down.
Challenges Revanth Reddy Over Election Commission Remarks
Questioning the Congress party’s allegations against the Election Commission, Maheshwar Reddy challenged Revanth Reddy to resign as Chief Minister and seek a fresh mandate if he had lost confidence in the electoral process.
He also questioned the Congress party’s electoral performance in states such as Kerala and Tamil Nadu and asked its leaders to substantiate their claims of vote deletion with evidence.

Ramchander Rao, BJP National General Secretary and Telangana In-charge Sunil Bansal, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Telangana BJP Co-In-charge and Karnataka MLA Abhay Patil, and Rajya Sabha MP Rekha Sharma.
