CityLightBuzz: Engineering graduates and leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) strongly condemned Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy over his reported remarks referring to engineering graduates as “criminal waste.” Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan, the leaders described the comments as insulting to lakhs of engineering students and professionals.
The BRS leaders demanded that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi issue an immediate apology over the remarks, alleging that the Congress leadership had disrespected the aspirations and dignity of engineering graduates across Telangana.
They stated that engineering students and graduates have played a significant role in the state’s development, particularly in the IT, technology, and industrial sectors, and should not be subjected to derogatory remarks.
Speaking at the press meet, the leaders criticized the reported comments and urged the Congress government to respect the youth and professionals who contribute to the state’s progress.
Among those who participated in the press conference were Chirumalla Rakesh Kumar, Gellu Srinivas Yadav, Enugula Rakesh Reddy, Putta Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Dinesh Chowdary, Kishore Goud, Harish Reddy, Pati Meeda Jagan Mohan Rao, Y. Satish Reddy, Ravi Naik, Raghuram, Totla Swamy Yadav, Padala Satish, Karthik Rayala, Chatari Dasarath, Jangaiah, and several other BRS leaders and engineering graduates.
